A few weeks ago I had a chance to take a quick weekend get away. I had a Friday off and decided we would go up north to my father and mother-in-laws cabin in Strawberry, AZ.
The weather was beautiful during the day, a little cold at night but it was so nice to feel a little touch of winter since Peoria had a joke of a winter season. It had snowed a few days before we got there but most of it had melted. It was just enough for Bennett to have his first encounter with snow!
The boys had fun with the snow too. They made HUGE snow balls (boulders) and had fun destroying things with them...Boys will always be boys.
Down the road from the cabin is a llama and goat farm. Bennett had never seen one of those either. He was a little timid at first but he always loves to discover and figure out new things so he was all up for testing these little guys out.
Phil even decided to get a haircut while we were there. His mom really must love him because it was freezing cold outside that morning! But leave it to Phil to go out in the freezing cold in his bare feet and shorts to get a haircut.
It was a wonderful weekend. I cant wait to go back!!
