We had too much fun in these 2 fall months. Lot of pictures! In September we also had Aftyn's 1st birthday but I will have to do a separate post for that...too much to catch up on!
SEPTEMBER!
Bennett finally figured out that he is 2 years old. Ha ha!
Bennett and Aftyn enjoyed a rainy evening by Aftyn letting Bennett push her around in her Tonka truck. They love this game. So much giggling!
We sent pictures like these to keep Phil feeling like he was a part of our day.
My sweet little Aftyn moved up to a toddler car seat. She was totally silent in the car for the first few days because she was so distracted by all she could see out the car windows. Cant believe she is old enough for this car seat. It makes her look so small!
This girl is growing up way too fast. She thinks she is all that because she can climb up a slide at Chik Fil A. Such a funny girl.
In September we had our first set of stitches in our family. There are different challenges to raising a boy compared to raising a girl. One is not easier than the other, just different challenges. One challenge we have with Bennett is keeping him out of trouble! That boy is always bonking his head, scratches and bruises on his legs, and etc. This particular time was no different. Just the luck of being a mother of boys.
One afternoon we found Bennett sitting on top of Aftyn really hard to the point that she was having a hard time breathing. (brothers...right?!) Phil and I told Bennett that we don't do that to people, its not nice, and told him to go sit in time out. As he was running to time out, he was throwing a fit and he tripped and hit his head on the door frame of the time out corner. I told him "that is what you get for throwing a fit". (Yes I am a mean mom). After about 30 seconds of Bennett being in time out he turned around and he had a big gash on his forehead and his face was covered in blood. He was cupping his hands under his chin to catch the blood from falling onto my carpet. (I love that boy for not letting blood stain my carpet...Ha ha!) Phil said he definitely needed stitches so we headed to the urgent care down the street. 5 stitches later...
September was an exciting month for us.
OCTOBER!
October is easier to talk about if I just explain the pictures.
Aftyn and her silly poses. She loved to bend over and try to find me through her legs. She giggle so much and end up falling over while looking for me.
Phil was a part of a inter mural flag football team for Midwestern. The kids loved going to his games and watching daddy play.
We spent a lot of time at the zoo. I had gotten a zoo membership around Bennett's birthday and we made it worth it within a couple weeks of buying it. We went to the zoo again, and again, and again......
Its crazy enough that this girl has red hair, but in this picture it looks even crazier. It is a perfect picture of this girls personality. She cracks me up!
One day the fire department was called to the house of one of our neighbors. Bennett loves cars, trucks, airplanes, trains...really any kind of transportation and when I showed him the fire truck right in front of our house, he freaked out with excitement. He just sat in the driveway looking at the truck. Pretty entertaining. The firemen must have caught on to their little admirer and brought Bennett a plastic fireman hat and a few stickers. Bennett was in heaven! So fun to see him so happy and I was so grateful for the firemen for making his day.
For family home evening one night we decided to paint pumpkins. The kids are not quite old enough to carve a pumpkin but they sure had a blast getting messy and painting one instead.

We made a tradition of going to the Tolmachoff Farms in the fall months. They have a lot of things for the kids to do and this year Aftyn was old enough to enjoy it with Bennett. They had a blast looking at the pumpkins, petting the goats and other animals, and so much more.
They have a corn maze on the property and Phil and Bennett love getting lost in the corn.

Aftyn is so much older than the last time we went to the farms. She was only a couple weeks old last time we went.
One of Bennett's favorite part of the farm is this big blob that they have set up. It really looks like a big blob. Its just full of air and Bennett bounced and jumped all over that thing. He kept falling over and having a hard time getting back up because of all the other kids bouncing but it was hysterical to him that he couldn't stand up. Such a funny thing to watch!
The kids loved seeing so many pumpkins in one place.
How did Aftyn get to big so fast!
Katelin came in town for a few days and we spent one morning hiking the mountain near my parents old house.

This boy was such a trooper and hiked the whole thing all by himself. I was very impressed!
You could see the new Phoenix Temple from the top. I hear its going to be dedicated maybe sometime in the fall of 2014. Crossing my fingers!
Katelin was so nice to carry Aftyn up and down the mountain. Since I was pregnant with baby #3 I couldn't carry her myself. My kids love their Auntie Kate.
In October 2013, we found out the gender of baby #3.....
ITS A GIRL!!!!
It was so fun to see her int he ultrasound and I cant believe we will be having our 2nd little girl. The girls are going to out number the boys! Yay! I was very surprised to find out we were having a girl. For some reason I had convinced myself that I was pregnant with another baby boy, but I couldn't be more excited to be having another little girl. Now the only question was....was she going to have red hair too?!
Cant wait for April of 2014. My due date is April 10th, so we will just have to see if this little one caused me more blood pressure issues and has to come early like her brother and sister.
All in all, September and October were very busy for us. Do the Calls even know how to have an uneventful month? So far, I think not.
