Tolmachoff Farms

Its been a long summer for Arizonians, and its FINALLY starting to cool off a little bit. We wanted to take advantage of the cool weather (because you never know how long its going to stick around), so our little family ventured to Tolmachoff Farms. Its not too far from our house, and it has a pumpkin patch, corn maze, petting zoo, and loads more.  Bennett absolutely loved it.
The first area we went to, Bennett was able to look at chickens, pigs, chicks, roosters, goats, and donkeys. You could pet the chicks and the baby pigs, and Bennett was 100% distracted by the sound the rooster made

The next area we went to had goats, donkeys, and ponys. It had a petting zoo and Bennett wanted to be with the animals and watch them but when it came to touching them or them being too close to him, he would totally freak out. He is such a curious boy, but apparently this time it needed to be from a distance. ha ha!

This goat saw Bennett waving at him and thought he had food and started coming towards him and Bennett could not get far enough between my legs fast enough. ha ha!

 This goat and just finished smelling his foot. I know he will love the petting zoo one day but for now I think its just fun for me to watch his reaction.

They had a couple corn mazes at the farm. One was for adults that would take about 60 minutes to get though, and the other one was for kids which took about 5 minutes. Bennett loved the kids one because it didn't have any trick pathways, so he could just run along the path ahead of us and then stop and wait for us to catch up. Aftyn enjoyed being in the stroller just basking in the sun. Next year Bennett and Aftyn can run around the kids maze together.

There were rules in the maze like stay on the path and don't eat/pick the corn, and of course leave it to Phil to try and get Bennett to break both rules.

Next up, the pumpkin patch! Bennett took it upon himself to try and lift every pumpkin. He mostly enjoyed trying to lift the ones that were as big as him. All the grunts, and deep breathes were my favorite part.

The rest of the time at the farm we spent climbing on hay bales, looking at baby chicks, climbing on tractors, and just having a good time.

 Every time we get into a car Bennett tries with everything he has to get to the front seat of the car because he wants to drive and move all the levers. This tractor was like a dream come true for him. He played shifting gears, turning the steering wheel, and of course waving bye to mom and dad because he definitely thinks he is driving away.

 (Ha ha! We need to teach this boy to smile on cue.)

We had a blast and decided that we need to do this next year and the year after that and the year after that and.....you get the idea. :) Happy Fall Everybody!!
